Project Profile: Dinuba Public Works

Our team recently completed a commercial sealcoating and parking lot striping project for Dinuba Public Works in Dinuba, CA. The parking lot had seen plenty of daily traffic from city vehicles and staff, and the surface was starting to show its age. Dirt, oil spots, and fading had left the asphalt looking tired and unprotected. It was time for maintenance.

Cleaning and Preparation

We began by giving the 15,000 square foot lot a deep clean using sweepers and blowers to remove debris and buildup. A clean surface is key to a proper sealcoat application, ensuring that the sealer bonds to the asphalt rather than sitting on top of dirt or dust.

Sealcoating and Striping

Once prepped, we applied a fresh coat of sealcoat to lock out moisture, restore the asphalt’s dark finish, and help extend its life. After giving the coating time to cure overnight, our crew returned the following day to restripe the lot, including parking stalls, directional arrows, and ADA markings.

Working With Fall Weather

During the summer this would have been a one day job, but with cooler fall temperatures the sealcoating takes longer to dry. Allowing that extra curing time ensures a smooth, even finish and long lasting protection.
